Bright & Cheery Amnesia

Amelie’s not really sure what’s going on right now - she doesn’t particularly recognize the bedroom she’s in, and she really doesn’t recognize the shockingly attractive blonde bombshell she is apparently sharing a bed with.

Even if she had gotten drunk enough to have the kind of memory gap she’s currently sporting, there is no amount of alcohol that would have gotten her confident enough for this. Plus, she’s sixteen, Mama will kill her if she finds out that she’s been drinking.

Wait, no, don’t escape from reality, Amelie. Escape from this bedroom. Just slowly move out from under the covers and - WHAT IS SHE WEARING?!

Acting on complete autopilot as she moves, Amelie grabs the pillow that was under her and just ducks into the nearest door once she’s out of the bedroom. Crouching down, she holds the pillow over her face and starts screaming.

Giggling, Apple lead her downstairs to the kitchen, as she busied herself around the place. Setting out some coffee that she had started earlier, she said, "What did you want today?"

“Espresso and a croissant?”

So her usual, then.

"Of course, I figured as much. Glad your tastes didn't change, otherwise I'd be at a loss."

A fresh butter croissant and Expresso would be set down in front of her, with a decorative heart in the cream.

Amelie stares at the heart in wide-eyed wonder before reaching out, grasping the mug in both hands, and draining the entire thing in one go.

Amelie’s coffee habits are deeply, deeply ingrained.

Good, because if it wasn't, Apple would be deeply concerned for her well being.

"Another?"

[onaroll]

Amelie nods, a little hesitantly, and nibbles her croissant as she stares at Apple with hearts in her eyes.

She is going to have a screaming breakdown when she finally sees those in the mirror.

This one has an apple in the cream. It's like you're drinking in Apple.

Badum dum ching.

[onaroll]

There’s a pause as Amelie looks around with narrowed eyes - did someone just make a pun? - before her gaze falls on Apple and she turns red again.

We the narrators made a pun. That's perfectly normal in Ever After.

"You know, if you keep gazing at me lovingly you'll be hungry later," teased Apple.

[onaroll]

This is the point where the Amelie Apple married would make a blithe joke about ‘eating an Apple’ - shut up, it doesn’t count as a pun if it’s an innuendo- but what Amnesiac Amelie does instead is turn red again and stare down at her croissant.

Awww she's so cute~

"Here," said Apple, handing her a plate of eggs as well. "You'll need the energy if we're going to be traipsing all over the town."

[onaroll]

"What town are we in, anyway?"

If Amelie looks up from those eggs she'll just start blushing again so she is avoiding that.

"We're in the town of Book End. Mother got us a place here, in our world instead of us living in the dorms." said Apple.

[onaroll]

Um.

“...world?”

[cidery]

"Yes, we're in my world, the Fairy Tale Kingdom known as Ever After." said Apple, gesturing to the scenery.

It was very green out there with a charming old timey feel to it.

[onaroll]

Amelie stares blankly.

What the hell has she been doing for the past few years.

[cidery]

"There's a lot to catch up on now come to think about it," admitted Apple.

[onaroll]

Amelie nods nervously, not entirely sure what to say.

[cidery]

"I suppose we'll have to recount from the beginning as best as possible," said Apple. "Perhaps as we walk?"

[onaroll]

Amelie nods and finishes the last of her breakfast.

“That...sounds nice.”

She might get to hold Apple’s hand.

[cidery]

There will be the most lewdest of handholding just you wait.

"All right, let me finish up here, and we'll clean up and go out. Okay?"

[onaroll]

“Oui!”

A slight pause as Amelie considers the...’sleepwear’ she’s still wearing.

“Ah...could you help me find my suit, as well?”

[cidery]

"Your suit? Oh yes, your suit. Goodness I remember that thing. You were wearing it when I met you." said Apple.

"Well, we've got a wardrobe now. Why don't we check that out then? The suit is hanging up there too."

[onaroll]

...did she stop wearing the suit at some point? Strange.

“Ah, merci beaucoup...”

More like, there were MORE suits available later on that suited Amelie's tastes.

"We just had it cleaned too."
