Bright & Cheery Amnesia

Amelie’s not really sure what’s going on right now - she doesn’t particularly recognize the bedroom she’s in, and she really doesn’t recognize the shockingly attractive blonde bombshell she is apparently sharing a bed with.

Even if she had gotten drunk enough to have the kind of memory gap she’s currently sporting, there is no amount of alcohol that would have gotten her confident enough for this. Plus, she’s sixteen, Mama will kill her if she finds out that she’s been drinking.

Wait, no, don’t escape from reality, Amelie. Escape from this bedroom. Just slowly move out from under the covers and - WHAT IS SHE WEARING?!

Acting on complete autopilot as she moves, Amelie grabs the pillow that was under her and just ducks into the nearest door once she’s out of the bedroom. Crouching down, she holds the pillow over her face and starts screaming.

Fully dressed, Amelie's wearing a blue vest over a white dress shirt with a crimson tie, pants that hug her hips in the same shade of blue as her vest, blue and white saddle shoes, and a white fedora decorated with a blue feather ornament. Her hair's been let loose from the usual twintails and falls down her back like a long curtain.

There's an uncertain expression on her face, however.

"...why do my eyes look like this?"

"Ah, well that in itself is a long story which is very short in its inception. Suffice to say it, you and I are magic space rocks as well as people, and you hit your head one day and got heart pupils."

Shortest route to a quick answer.

Amelie blinks a few times, slowly and deliberately, blond lashes sweeping over heart-shaped pupils and sky blue irises.

What follows when the penny drops is a flurry of rapid-fire Japanese, coming out so quickly that the only word that’s understandable is ‘イセカイ’ and even then only because she uses it several times before she stops ranting.

Yeah Apple only understood about a tenth of that. "Feel better?"

Amelie takes several deep breaths and nods, very carefully.

"I...think so."

[cidery]

"It's a lot to take in. I promise I'll explain it better."

[onaroll]

“Ah...oui...”

She will trust you, beautiful future wife.

Apple smiled and started to change, moving behind the changing wall with a flirty wink.

[onaroll]

And back to turning red! Your flirty winks are killing her.

[cidery]

Apple can't help it, they're too good and easy to use to fluster Amelie with. Such a precious girl.

At some point today she's just going to explode.

You realize this is going to happen, yes?

As long as she detonates in a fashionable manner, it'll be all right with Apple.

Soon she re-emerges in a nice outfit and says, "Ready to go?"

Amelie nods dumbly, not really able to make words.
